Teach Me, O Lord

Text: William T. Matson / Music and text modifications: Keri Jacobs

Teach me, O Lord, Thy holy way and give me an obedient mind;

That in Thy service I may find my soul's delight from day to day, O Lord.

Guide me, O Lord, with Thy hand, controlling all my thoughts and deeds;

That I may follow on the path where You have led and onward to the blessed land.

Help me, O God, help me trace the footsteps where Your feet have trod;

And humbly walking with my God to grow in grace,
to grow in truth and righteousness.

 Guard me, O God, that I may not forsake the right or do the wrong;

    against all temptation make me strong.

Use me, my Lord, make me assured of the good work You began in me;

Fulfill and complete Your purpose for Your holy Name, Until the day of Your return.Until the day of Your return. Teach me, O Lord.

Lead vocals: Jenny and Kristen

From Tom Leich’s hymnal, this hymn text is a powerful prayer which the Lord used to help me when I was coming out of a difficult time. - Keri

Ruth’s Song

Words/music by James Key.   From Ruth 1:16,17

Wherever you go, I will be with you.
Wherever you stay, I will stay there.
Wherever you die, I’ll be buried there.

I will love your people; I will serve your God;
live in your land and call it my home.

Vocals: James and Kristen; guitar: James; flute: Tricia; additional guitar and bass: Gantt Kushner; keyboard: Keri
My friends Laurie and Erik asked me to write a song for their wedding that was based on Ruth's lifelong promise of fidelity to her mother-in-law, Naomi.  Kristen and I have enjoyed singing "Ruth's Song" at numerous weddings since, including our own. - James
